LED & Globe bargains!

In both our LED and Globe sections we have some bargains which will fit many Wolf Eyes torches such as the Sniper and Defender and even some Surefire models. We have a number of Lumens Factory globes including ones to fit Surefires such as the E1 and E2 series (any E series), M3 series, M6, etc. Normally we don’t advise clients to  keep spare LEDs as they go out of date, but at this price they are worth keeping as a spare especially if you are in a remote location (globes are always worth keeping!). There are globes from $2 (with many $3) and LEDs from $3. Strictly limited numbers at this price with no rainchecks! We need the warehouse clear for other stock.

$250 for your photo?

$250

$250 for your photo? Yes. From now till the end of January, we are looking for your photos of Wolf Eyes Torches in use. Whether a tactical unit doing a forced entry, a  hunter in our great outdoors, you are doing your duty in the sandpit, an aircraft engineer, general duties on a nightly patrol, emergency services in an extrication or rescue, linesmen working, recreational user,  whatever – we are interested in your photos. Why? We are looking for photos to use in our websites and can’t think of anyone better to provide them than the actual users of our gear. Your photos don’t need to be professional quality (though better quality is good) just showing our torches in use. You (or your workmates, partners, friends) can feature in the photo or not, there are no rules, just that you must be using a Wolf Eyes torch. Send as many photos as you like to photos@quarterflash.com.au and if we use any of them anywhere we will send you a $250 voucher good at either of our websites – wolfeyes.com.au or quarterflash.com.au

Hunting Torches (flashlights) compared

We have released a short 1 minute  16 sec video comparing the beams of the different Wolf Eyes Hunting lights. The low resolution version is here and for those with the bandwidth a 12 mb high resolution version is available for download here . Just stop the video anywhere you see a torch you are interested in.

1,000 lumen Sniper II and price reductions

Wolf Eyes Sniper II 1,000 lumen LED torch flashlightWolf Eyes has just released a number of new torches utilising a new 1,000 lumen LED, the sort of outputs which were unimaginable just a few short years ago.  The Sniper II makes a great compact police or military torch, while the Sniper II Hunter is a great rifle or hunting torch.

Two weeks ago the factory informed us there would be a price drop due to the new LEDs, this of course is fortuitously coming at the same time as the rise of the Australian dollar. Since the factory told us of the upcoming reductions we have attempted to guess reduced prices for all orders placed, including ongoing contracts. The factory concluded negotiations with the LED suppliers and confirmed prices on Friday 1.04.11. We believe we have reduced for all purchasers, but in case we missed anyone and to be  fair to those who bought just before we knew, if anyone, department or company has bought a torch in the last 30 days (5.03.11) we will take off the price reduction from any torch purchased in the next 30 days (5.05.11). A great time to look around the site at the torch you have always wanted, it may now be affordable. Some like the Sea Lion Hunter are still 10 days away, but worth the wait for the new 1,000 lumen output.

Wolf Eyes Tactical Torches in the media

Further to the review in Guns and Game and mentions in the SSAA Australian Shooter there have been a few other mentions and reviews.  Al McGlashan, super fisherman and producer of the Strikezone DVDs mentions the benefits of a Wolf Eyes torch in the September 2009 Modern Fishing.  Wolf Eyes was interviewed for The Outdoor Life Show on Radio 94.1 in Melbourne (Wednesdays 6.45 -10am or via the internet). A great show for anyone into hunting, fishing, camping, 4WD or just enjoying the outdoors.  If you like to keep up to date with the latest electronic gadgets, The Gadget Grill on Radio 88.1 in Sydney (or podcasts anytime) has all the latest technology, including an interview on Wolf Eyes torches.

Wolf Eyes Defender Winner

We have just drawn the winner for December from our mailing list and customers, the winner was Andrew K from Yass. He has won a Wolf Eyes Defender 170 torch. The next draw will be for a Wolf Eyes Angel C, our smallest torch but surprisingly bright. Great for a back up for law enforcement or anyone who needs a ridiculously bright small torch (it is about the size of a lipstick). The next draw will be at the end of March.
